This one started everything.
What's Your Favorite Color Baby is the very first skull I made for the HIDDEN COLOUR collection — and like all good pioneers, it didn't quite know what it was starting at the time.
The name is a nod to Living Colour, the New York band who were pioneers in their own right.
A Black rock band breaking through in the late 1980s when that genuinely meant something.
Vernon Reid on guitar, Corey Glover on vocals, and Mick Jagger believing
in them before almost anyone else did.
"Cult of Personality" is the song everyone knows but the whole catalogue holds up.
They won Grammys. They deserved more credit than they got.
Pioneers usually do.
The skull gets that energy.
The idea behind the HIDDEN COLOUR collection was simple — white skulls that completely hide their colour when they're unlit, so you get a surprise when the light comes on.
This was the first time I tried it and I love what happened. The orange glow this one gives off when it's lit is something else.
Clean white outside, no clue what's coming, and then you switch it on and there it is.
